Ready to Rock was a yearlong campaign to motivate Google Partners (Digital Businesses that work with Google) to win new business, grow existing clients and improve their reputations.
During the campaign I was responsible for the design style and illustration of the first stage of this project. I created the illustration style and humour and set the tone for the rest of the campaign. I created many various online, offline and DM pieces for the completed project.
Ready to Rock was well received in 28 countries across EMEA. 87% of all agencies engaged in the Campaign. Forever Beta saw a 300% response rate increase. 65% played Google Partner’s debut album, Born Ready and reached 125% of target revenue. Finally reaching 163% of targeted new clients.
On only a small budget GetTaxi approached Forever Beta to steal the market share in the taxi app world.
I was involved in helping to create a guerrilla campaign to show that there’s a new app in town. ‘Roy the GetTaxi loving dinosaur’ gave the brand a character and personality that others lacked.
From hand made posters and kitsch looking facebook posts, to polished creative advertising across all media. I was the lead designer on this project from day one and continued to design everything for the campaign and brand.
Ikea didn’t really have a previous style of design when it came to DM, so I was free to explore and create exactly what I felt the brand should be communicating. I kept the designs fun, fresh and visually appealing. By introducing a broader range of illustrations to their brand and strong, bold colours we gave Ikea something of which they could be proud and a design idea which is now being pushed across the brand and their entire direct marketing strategy.
Absolute Radio: UK First Apple TV App Design
Whilst working at Bauer Media I was responsible for designing The UK FIRST commercial radio station on Apple TV for Absolute Radio.
Working with Adrian Van Cooten (UX)we created the app from initial concept to a working design in a week to be ready for a tight launch date.
I was tasked with designing the new Royal Mailcareers website whilst working at Thirty Three.
The main objective was to take Royal Mail forward with a fresh, modern approach that is something their current site is extremely lacking. The feedback from the client was great with minimal amends and I am looking forward to seeing the site rolled out in 2016.
Lunch: App Design and Branding
Lunch is a social platform app designed for food enthusiasts to share their food discoveries and inspire others to try something new each day.
I was responsible for the development of the brand identity, UI and Design of the app.
The project is currently looking for backers to take it to the next level
I have worked on Sky at both Sapient Nitro and Table 19 getting to work on several aspects of the brand. Here is some of the work that I completed whilst freelancing at both agencies.
Boots: DM Design
For two years I worked on the Boots DM account at Lida. This inclduded producing over 100 pieces of direct mail. Below is just a small selection of them which I designed.
William Hill: DM and Email Design
I designed a multi-channel campaign in a form of a season ticket booklet and email campaign to promote the start of the New Premier League season.
iShares: Campaign Design
The brief was to re-brand iShares press campaigns but still incorporate the existing essence of the brand. We wanted to create something completely new and engaging for the brand. Using the brands existing colour scheme and fonts, we created a brand new identity. A look and feel that hopefully people wouldn't be expected and would stand out of the crowd in the financial district of London.
HTC: Retail Design
At Saatchi & Saatchi X I was the lead designer on the HTC Global Retail accout. This involved taking briefs at a conceptual stage, designing and art directing them through to finished artwork. I worked on both online and offline ATL Projects.
Grazia: Web Design and Branding
During my time at Bauer Media I was tasked with designing a template based website to run across three of Bauer’s lifestyle brands, Heat, Closer and Grazia.
All designs were focused first on creating a great mobile experience and a design that would drive revenue and increase overall engagements on the different websites.
Also with the Grazia Daily brand, I was given the opportunity to re-design the logo and update the brand. I took a dated print designed logo and updated it with one that would work much better online and see the brand moving forward in the future.
